The article in question deals with the linguistic features of Netspeak. development modern technologies has made it possible to create a unique digital communication environment, which is realized textually, characterized by laconicism, violation spelling and punctuation norms language. Modern linguistics faces important issue studying Netspeak phenomenon, affects all spheres human life. purpose study define concept Netspeak, its communicative features, characterize lexical graphic features. English Web 2020 corpus (enTenTen20) on SketchEngine platform was analyzed describe frequency abbreviations acronyms usage, sources: texts English-language Internet discourse for 2019-2021. As result quantitative analysis, determined that acronym LOL occurs most frequently – 875554 times, while ILY less 2216 times. semantic analysis COCA revealed found blogs web pages, common fiction, magazines newspapers, scientific different denotative meaning. Having Corpus Contemporary American (COCA), we can conclude about high using websites blogs. tendencies constant growth number network environment have prospects further research
